A man who saved his wife from suicide by pulling her from her car when he found her drunk behind the wheel has been convicted of assault.
Graham Page, 46, found his wife Alexandra had left a suicide note at their home and, after finding her intoxicated and ‘hysterical’ in her car, dragged her out to safety.
He admitted his rescue attempt on December 14 got a bit ‘out of hand’ because after pulling her from the car, he ‘cuffed’ Alexandra to the head, the court heard.
He was reported to police by a witness. Read more
