Rivers State House of Assembly has served a notice of misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu.

Rivers Assembly commences impeachment process against Fubara (Tribune)
The Martin Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly has commenced impeachment process against the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, over alleged gross misconduct.
The 26 members of the assembly in the document signed and dated March 14, 2025, and addressed to the Speaker through the Clerk of the House indicated that they have found Governor Fubara and his Deputy, Prof. Ngozi Odu, guilty of gross misconduct.
The lawmakers, in a notice titled, “Titled: Notice of Gross Misconduct Pursuant To Section Section 188 of the Federal Republic of Nigerian Constitution (As Amended) 1999. Nigeria has stepped in to support Niger Republic by approving the immediate supply of 300 trucks of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to ease the country’s fuel crisis.

Rwanda said Monday it had given Belgian diplomats 48 hours to leave the country after cutting ties with Brussels.
In a statement, Kigali’s foreign affairs ministry accused Belgium of interference.

One of the oldest folk festivals in England was cancelled after making a £320,000 loss last year, council documents have revealed.
The annual four-day Cambridge Folk Festival, organised by Cambridge City Council, first began in 1965 and has been hosted in the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall.
