Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has said his administration would continue to focus on executing meaningful developmental projects for the people and would not be distracted by unnecessary criticisms from detractors.
He declared his stand yesterday at Government House in Birnin Kebbi, when he received the Kauran Gwandu coordinators groups who paid him a courtesy visit.
He said, “Our detractors had thought that we will fail and that we will not deliver the desired projects.
“But we have so far shamed them by trying our best in the provision of the basic infrastructure for the people of the state.”
He added that the state government was committed to the execution of quality and durable projects, saying, ‘’not shoddy jobs that will last only one or two years.”
Idris commended the members of the group for their invaluable contributions to the emergence of his administration as well as the success of government’s policies and programmes.
Earlier, the group’s chairman, Alhaji Musa Muhammad, who is also the commissioner for environment highlighted the developmental strides recorded by the state government. (Leadership)
