Identity number now requirement for land allocation – Minister (Punch)

The Federal Capital Territory Administration on Friday said that the National Identification Number would henceforth be mandatory for land allocation in the FCT.

This was made known by the Minister of the FCT, Muhammed Bello, during a courtesy visit by the Director-General, National Identity Management Commission, Aliyu Aziz, to his office in Abuja. Bello expressed the need for every land allocated to be matched to an individual through the NIN “in order to track and prevent multiplicity of land, and ensure fairness and equity in the allocation process.” Read more
