There’s this thing I see online, and I think a good number of Nigerian artistes have songs by this same title, “something must kill a man!”
I agree but let it not be yeye “something!”
When I hear of men, especially, dying while or after having sex with women they won’t even be caught, in the daylight with, I just feel bad.
I’m talking about men who have reputable images, have worked hard to accomplish much and got cut down by nonsense human beings over sex, I cringe.
Two people come to mind, the late Usifo Ataga, 50 year old accomplished businessman and owner of SuperTV, who was allegedly killed by a mere slip of a girl, Chidinma Ojukwu, in Lagos.
The second, Dr. Obisike Ibe, reputed to be hardworking and passionate about his job and set for even bigger accomplishments in the US, murdered by a common cleaner in Abuja…both men were murdered, it appears because of sex!
We know enough about Chidinma Ojukwu and the late Super TV boss, Usifo Ataga. Let’s talk about a certain 26 year old, Abdulsalami Ibrahim, in Abuja, reported to have murdered a medical doctor, Dr. Obisike Ibe and his friend, Ezekiel Edoja in December, 13, 2021, because as he alleges, the doctor made amorous advances at him!
Here’s what happened before the confession.
Last year, a 37 year old medical practitioner, Obisike Ibe and his friend, Ezekiel Edoja, 31 years, were murdered in their home, at D2, 24 street, Games Village Estate, Abuja on the 13th of December, 2021. Dr. Ibe was set to travel to the US that very day.
The story shocked lot of people and many wandered at the audacity of the assailants; some immediately pointed out that it was an inside job as it was committed in an area said to be safe and secure; secondly, the way the bodies were found also suggested the victims knew who their assailant(s) were.
Reports also said the victims’ personal items were taken; Dr. Ibe’s new car was driven off and the gate was locked from outside with a new padlock, his wallet and ATM card were also missing and because the perpetrators withdrew money to the tune of N2million from his bank account it was easy to assume the person(s) knew the Doctor very well. I mean, what robber locks up after a crime?
Anyway, the police were hot on this and in a matter of days, they dug out the perpetrator and his accomplices.
Abdulasami Ibrahim, the main perpetrator now claims the reason he killed the doctor was because Dr. Ibe wanted to have sexual relations with him and he refused.
He said the doctor begged him, offered him money and plied him with drinks. All of which he, Ibrahim, refused and when the doctor wouldn’t stop badgering him, he, (Ibrahim) called for his friends, Fidelis and Philemon to come help him pack his stuff as he had determined to leave.
This pack of lies reminds me of Chidinma and Usifo Ataga. Like Dr. Ibe, Usifo Ataga was the one who wanted sex and offered money in return for it, he dangled any amount, just like Abdusalami said of Dr. Ibe.
And the way I see it, if indeed Dr. Ibe demanded sex from Adulsalami, it probably wasn’t the first time he was soliciting sex, Adusalami just wasn’t in the mood for it that day…like Chidinma.
Dr, Ibe and Abdulsalami both engaged in heavy drinking, maybe did drugs, too because Abdusalami is reported to have said, “…the doctor bought a lot of drinks and I became very high.”
Who drinks and gets high with their cleaners?
Who remains in the company of someone they refused to have sex with? Except of course they did give in to the sex or agreed to at a later time.
Same thing happened between Chidinma and Usifo Ataga, both drank and got high.
Now, one should ask, why would the doctor solicit sex from his cleaner when there’s a more compatible partner in the house?
There’s Ezekiel Edoja in the house!
Why would the doctor, assuming he wanted to have sex with his cleaner, do so if his “gay partner” Ezekiel Edoja, was there?
Can you smell the cover ups?
Except of course, they were planning a threesome, there’s no way the doctor could have been soliciting sex from Abdusalami while his friend was present in the house.
Then you ask, what stopped Abdulsalami from walking away after he refused to give in to sex?
Because he had planned to kill the doctor that day; it was a crime of opportunity. Just like Chidinma. She didn’t want sex, Ataga was reported to have offered money, any amount, yet, he died and she ran off with her accomplices, (at least now we know she had accomplices) his personal items and withdrew money from his account that very day!
Now, since Ibe was leaving town that day, there’s a good chance that Abdusalami was aware, he must have been paid off; must have seen Dr. Ibe pull out foreign currency too. He must also have realized nobody would come looking for the Dr. because everyone would’ve assumed he had traveled to the US.
So Abdulasalmi claimed after being plied with too much booze, he called for his friends, Philemon and Fidelis to come help him pack his load!
Pray, what manner of load would a cleaner have so accumulated that he would need help to carry as he was leaving his master’s house?
No, Abdulsalami decided Dr. Ibe and his friend, Ezekiel had to die and to do that, he needed his friends, Fidelis and Philemon to accomplish this. Plus he needed help to drive the Doctor’s car away.
But let the lawyers do the math themselves, let the police earn their keep and let the judge feel righteous over whatever judgement is deemed for this crime.
All I’m saying, dear men, of all the foolish things to kill a man, let it not be in the hands of some cleaner or girl that can’t even even spell her name.
If you’re going to die from sex, do so with some dignity!
