The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, has described himself as the candidate of everybody, irrespective of class, age, gender or creed.
The pharmacist turned politician who has been speaking about his programmes and plans for a greater Lagos, stated that nobody can afford to be indifferent in this election because the stakes are very high. He further argued that in choosing a representative, the electorate must weigh all the options which include the contestants, their track record and ability, among other things before that all-important decision.
Agbaje therefore called on everyone living in Lagos: indigenes, non-indigenes as well as all registered voters in the state to rally support for his candidacy as the governorship election approaches.
Nevertheless, many people in Lagos State believe that Agbaje is the candidate to beat, given his temperament, breeding, excellent education, good family name and interesting professional life, even though he has refused to flaunt these virtues.
He, however, insists that he will do a great job as governor of Lagos State because he is prepared and ready to work for the people.
According to him, “I am a candidate of men and women, young and old, people of all faiths and religions and also people of all callings.
“I have been on this political journey because I believe that I can make a significant difference in achieving the Lagos that is sustainable, competitive and live-able for indigenes, non-indigenes and businesses”.
Agbaje equally promised to do everything necessary to lift the state from where it is currently to where it should be, given its potentials in both human and natural resources.
