Palestinians in Gaza fear hunger and starvation during Ramadan after Israel blocks, all humanitarian aid into the enclave.

Global condemnation pours in after Israel’s move, with Egypt, Qatar and Jordan calling it a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement and humanitarian laws.

Israeli officials refuse to enter phase two of the ceasefire deal which would eventually lead to end to the war, insisting on a US-proposed plan to extend phase one which expired on Saturday.

Gaza’s Health Ministry confirmed 48,388 Palestinian deaths in Israel’s war on Gaza, while 111,803 people have been wounded. The Government Media Office updated its death toll to at least 61,709, saying thousands of Palestinians missing under the rubble are presumed dead. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attacks and more than 200 were taken captive. (Aljazeera)
