For delivering on its promises of availing a memorable, flavourful night of live music performances, Lagos residents are still pouring encomiums on Johnnie Walker Black Label, for bringing the Lagos version of Johnnie, Jazz & Whisky (JJW), which held at the GET Arena, Victoria Island, Lagos last week.
The show, the nationโs foremost and premier platform for live music theatrics, which has so far been dubbed โone of the most memorable shows of 2018โ, had featured international singer, Asa alongside afro beat super star, Femi Kuti, who delivered soulful tunes from their rich repertoire of great musical works amidst fusions of the great flavours of the Johnnie Walker whisky as delivered by experienced mixologists.
The event, which also featured fast-rising acts like Yimika, Efezino and Chike, got guests posting their fun memories online. Ehisscotch posted: โThis is the kind of event where good music is. Not the ones where they sing over CDs and hop on stage, shouting and dancing. I just hope the venue was sold out because most Nigerians know jazz as something else. Asa is just magical, even without watching this event, just seeing her dress and the aura around her, you know she killed it. The event also looks well-managed and organizedโ.
