For delivering on its promises of availing a memorable, flavourful night of live music performances, Lagos residents are still pouring encomiums on Johnnie Walker Black Label, for bringing the Lagos version of Johnnie, Jazz & Whisky (JJW), which held at the GET Arena, Victoria Island, Lagos last week.

The show, the nationโ€™s foremost and premier platform for live music theatrics, which has so far been dubbed โ€˜one of the most memorable shows of 2018โ€™, had featured international singer, Asa alongside afro beat super star, Femi Kuti, who delivered soulful tunes from their rich repertoire of great musical works amidst fusions of the great flavours of the Johnnie Walker whisky as delivered by experienced mixologists.

The event, which also featured fast-rising acts like Yimika, Efezino and Chike, got guests posting their fun memories online. Ehisscotch posted: โ€œThis is the kind of event where good music is. Not the ones where they sing over CDs and hop on stage, shouting and dancing. I just hope the venue was sold out because most Nigerians know jazz as something else. Asa is just magical, even without watching this event, just seeing her dress and the aura around her, you know she killed it. The event also looks well-managed and organizedโ€.

For Nesa Boo JJW Lagos was mind-blowing: โ€œI’d go gaga for Asa any day any time. She’s mind-blowing. Always listening to her songs; โ€˜Knights of Renโ€™ and โ€˜Yerikoโ€™ afterwards. Even her Bed of Stone album is still lit after 4years! She’s simply magicalโ€.

Samuel Awede posted: โ€œNo one wants to miss out on the thrilling flavours. Thereโ€™s so much sauce at JJW Lagos.โ€

Primed to always deliver on its tenets of soulful live music amidst great flavours of Johnnie Walker, the brand manager of Johnnie Walker Black Label, Toluwalashe Ogunyemi, says Lagosians deserve a show of this nature to end the year.

โ€œJohnnie Walker Black Label has remained steadfast in delivering the best of live music amidst great cocktails delivered by renowned mixologists. This is what Lagosians deserve this December. I am happy that nothing was spared by these great artistes in creating a fun-filled ambience as a way of ending JJW in 2018โ€.

An amazing array of finger foods and many other side attractions were also on hand to serenade guests as they partook in the delight of Johnnie Walker Black Label’s distinctive fruity, tropical, creamy and smoky flavours.

Celebrities like Richard Mofe Damijo, Kate Henshaw and comedian, Ali Baba also turned up to enjoy the evening of sheer fun.
