Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hit back at the media after confirming he dropped Alexis Sanchez for the side’s 1-0 win against Young Boys.
The Red Devils required an injury time winner from Marouane Fellaini to scrape past the Swiss side and to book their place in the last-16.
Mourinho made six changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace on Saturday, demoting the likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata to the bench.
However, there was no place for Sanchez in the 18-man squad with United fans fearing he picked up an injury.
Mourinho though confirmed Sanchez was not injured and was simply dropped, instead using the question to turn on the media who berate him for not playing Marcus Rashford more. Read more
