Jose Mourinho had praise for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta after Tottenham’s 2-1 victory in
the north London derby on Sunday, saying the Gunners are improving under the Spaniard.
Spurs edged out their local rivals despite falling behind to an Alexandre Lacazette strike, as Heung-min Son immediately equalised and then Toby Alderweireld headed in a late winner.
Tottenham, despite being the home side, had just 37% possession but it mattered not as they picked up three points and go ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table into eighth.
Mourinho knew it was going to be a struggle against an Arsenal side that had picked up three wins and a draw in their previous four league games and feels the Gunners are heading in the right direction under Arteta. (Metro)
