Jubilation as Nnabuife thanks God over new appointment — Chinwendu Uzoatu

It was a joyful moment at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, G.R.A. Awka, on Sunday, as the newly appointed Managing Director, Civic and Social Reformation Office, Anambra State, Sir Chuka Nnabuife specially thanked God for his faithfulness; with family, friends and well wishers.

The reception at Havilla Suites,Awka, attracted more dignitaries.

One of the guests, Chief Joseph Onugha (Obibuenyi Obosi) stated that Nnabuife’s new appointment is a commendation for his commitment to the state.

He said: “Today is a remarkable day because it’s roughly one year Nnabuife was disengaged from National Light Newspapers, but as God will have it, Governor Soludo reappointed him as the Managing Director of Civic and Social Reformation Office. This means that he performed very well; he has a good record, that’s why he was reappointed.

“Today, we joined him in a Thanksgiving Mass. We are all happy that God blessed him to get this appointment.”

On his part, Agwuncha Emmanuel Nnamdi said that God knows whatever happens in this life and that we have every reason to believe that there is a Supreme Being. “This new job will transform him to a higher height. The Governor will not be disappointed. So we are here to thank God with him,” he said.

For Chigozie Chukwuleta: “Chuka is a very lively person and friendly. His friendliness is infectious. Once you know him, you will know everybody around him.

“When it comes to work, he is a workaholic. He does not have impossibility in his dictionary at work. I think this is one of the reasons the Governor thought it wise to bring him on board. When he carries his flag of hard work into the unit assigned to him, it will not be the same again.

“We thank the Governor who saw it wise to give him the job. We thank God.”

Also, Ike Odumegwu explained that it is a day they gathered to celebrate a good friend. He said: “It is all about the recognition he has made for the state. It is a reward for a good job.”

On their parts in different interviews, Hon. Juventus Chukwunweike Okoli, Bernard Obianor and Nezianya Obinabo commended Sir Nnabuife for his great achievements, describing him as a faithful servant of God and also advised him to put his effort in his new assignment, for Nigeria to be good.

Wife of the celebrant, Lady Beatrice Nnabuife extolled God for his love, kindness and blessings. She said: “God is great. If you believe in God, trust in him. He fulfils his promises. Those that worship the Lord fear no evil. Goodness and mercy shall follow them. It is just the grace of God. It is the umbrella we have in God.”

Lady Nnabuife thanked those that joined them in the celebration and prayed God to bless them too.
