Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he had no choice but to take Neco Williams off at half-time on his full Premier League debut against Brighton after accusing his side of failing to protect the 19-year-old.
Williams was a surprise starter at the Amex Stadium and the teenager impressed in the opening 45 minutes.
However, as is to be expected, the defender had a couple of questionable moments and he picked up a yellow card for a foul on Tariq Lamptey.
Williams made another foul shortly before half-time and was therefore walking a tight-rope if he was to make it through the second half. (Metro)
