Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is struggling with a small calf problem after making his long-awaited return to first-team football following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 25-year-old missed virtually the entire 2018-19 season after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury against Roma in the Champions League semi-final the year before.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made a couple of cameo appearances towards the end of last season, coming on as a substitute in games against Huddersfield and Wolves in May.
The former Arsenal man has been involved during Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States but Klopp suggested the club have to monitor his comeback from injury carefully. Read more
