Jurgen Klopp is adamant that his Liverpool squad is looking strong ahead of the upcoming season despite the club’s subdued summer in the transfer market.
Liverpool won their first trophy under Klopp last season by lifting the Champions League and finished just a point behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.
As a result of their progress last season, Klopp has opted against making big signings with teenagers Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliot and backup goalkeeper Adrian his only recruits.
In contrast to Liverpool, the other top-six clubs have all made changes to their squads during the transfer window, including Chelsea who despite their transfer ban signed Mateo Kovacic. Read more
