Jurgen Klopp told Dejan Lovren Liverpool needed him after failed transfer (Metro)

Dejan Lovren has insisted he holds no grudge against Liverpool after a prospective transfer fell through this summer.

The centre-back was hoping to move on after falling down the pecking order at Liverpool and attracted interest from Serie A sides.

But Klopp decided he needed Lovren in his ranks, and the Croatian has now explained why his summer switch didn’t happen.
