Maurizio Sarri has been sacked by Juventus with Mauricio Pochettino lined up as a potential replacement.
The Italian, 61, was given his marching orders the day after his side crashed out of the Champions League to Lyon.
Sarri won the Serie A title in his only season at the Italian giants but failure in Europe proved fatal.
Juve said: “Juventus Football Club announces that Maurizio Sarri has been relieved of his post as coach of the First Team.
“The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus’ history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football.”
And according to Sportitalia, the Old Lady want Poch to take over at the Allianz Stadium. (Sun)
