The Kogi State Command of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a suspected drug baron, James Ameh, with one pump action gun loaded with live cartridges.
Ameh, who is also said to be an herbalist, was arrested at about 5:30am on Thursday in Igolijo community of Igalamela/ Odolu Local Government Area where he allegedly has 10 hectares of land where he cultivates cannabis sativa.
It was learnt that about 40 personnel of the NDLEA alongside officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps left Lokoja in the early hours of Thursday to effect the arrest of the drug kingpin who had been on the wanted list of the command for many months. Read more
