Kwara State Gov shuffles top officials in inauguration ceremony

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) conducted an inauguration ceremony on Friday, appointing three key officials to pivotal positions within his government. 

The event witnessed the reappointment of Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and the elevation of Prince AbdulKadir Aliyu Mahe, formerly the SSG, to the role of Chief of Staff (CoS).

Barrister Murtala Sambo was also inaugurated as the Special Adviser on Legal Matters, resuming the position he held until the closure of the last dispensation on May 29, 2023.

According to a statement by Rafiu Ajakaye, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, during the ceremony, Governor AbdulRazaq delivered an inspiring message to the newly appointed officials, emphasising the importance of putting the interests of the public at the forefront of their duties. He stressed the need for transparency, loyalty, and a commitment to improving the well-being of the people of Kwara, especially in the field of human capital development. The Governor set the goal of surpassing the state’s past achievements and urged officials to adapt to the current economic realities of the country.

Additionally, the Governor called upon the newly appointed officials to effectively coordinate government activities and foster harmonious relationships between the government and the public.

Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, in response to his reappointment, expressed his gratitude to the governor for the trust placed in him and offered prayers for the success of the administration in all aspects.

The swearing-in event was attended by a select group of government officials, with House of Representatives member (Ilorin East/South) Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko among the attendees.

This reshuffling of top officials indicates a strategic move by Governor AbdulRazaq as his administration continues to steer the state towards progress and development.
