The Kwara State Government is to collaborate with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), in ensuring proper dissemination of its activities and evolve adequate feedback mechanisms from the people of the state.
The State Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Abosede Buraimoh, gave this indication in Ilorin while receiving the leadership of the state chapter of NIPR, led by its Chairman, Doctor Saudat Salah-AbdulBaqi, on a courtesy call in her office.
Mrs Buraimoh, who described information as pivot of any sustainable democratic practice, said NIPR has strategic roles to play in view of its statutory function of social reengineering, bridge building and mending as well as fostering unity among the diverse ethnic-religious groups in Nigeria.
She expressed delight over the existing synergy between the Institute and the State Government and assured that all the requests of the Institute would be looked into, with a view to ensuring prompt implementation and execution. (VON)
