Lagos State Government said it has arrested two suspects and sealed a Grace Garden Event Place at Bisola Durosinmi-Etti Drive, Lekki, for illegally burning waste.
Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this on Tuesday. He explained that the Lagos Waste Management Authority’s enforcement team arrested both suspects on Monday night while they were burning refuse at the event centre.
He urged residents and business owners to avoid illegal waste practices, noting that offenders will face prosecution under the law. (Punch)
