The Lagos State Government has said regulations have been put in place to guide the transportation of petroleum products on roads in the state.
The Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr Olalere Odusote, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
Odusote was quoted to have said this during a stakeholders’ forum organised for the oil and gas transportation sector, in Alausa, Ikeja.
He said, “The ministry has set up a working committee which is currently developing a legal framework in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice, based on existing physical planning environmental and safety laws to address safe and ethical practices by stakeholders in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas sector.
