The Lagos State Government-regulated Lagos Bus Services Limited has said it will play a leading role in championing eco-friendly and sustainable methods of bus services to residents of the state.
The LSBL is one of the companies under the regulation of the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority offering Bus Rapid Transit services in the state.
The Managing Director, LBSL, Mr Idowu Oguntona, in a statement on Thursday, said the decision was in line with the fast-changing operating environment for bus services.
He stressed the LBSL’s leading role in a recent proof-of-concept exercise of eco-friendly, efficient, electric mass transit vehicles in Lagos State, adding that the POC exercise was successful with the cooperation and robust partnership of relevant stakeholders, including the state government through LAMATA, which was championing the project.
Oguntona further noted that the company would continue to seek proactive ways to improve its service delivery while putting customers first in its operations and empowering its staff for better service delivery.
“This year, we will continue to operate with the mindset of customer first, ensure transparency in all our processes, and adhere to our culture and core values of empowering people to deliver outstanding results.
“Let us continue to work hard to reach even greater heights in 2024.”
He appreciated members of staff for their dedication, creativity, and hard work, saying these had been the driving force behind the company’s success.
“Every one of us has important roles to play in the new year and I am confident that together we will achieve the change we desire,” the managing director said. (Punch)
