The Lagos State Government has sealed a property at 32 Ogunkoya Street, Ikosi-Ketu, over confirmed reports of illegal waste dumping. Commissioner for the Environment, Mr Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed this via his verified X handle, stating that officials from the enforcement team acted promptly after receiving complaints from concerned residents.

According to Wahab, the team visited the site on Monday evening, confirmed the environmental violation, and sealed the premises immediately. The state government warned that it would not condone actions that harm the environment, adding that surveillance and enforcement operations are ongoing across all communities.

โ€œThis should serve as a warning that Lagos will not tolerate environmental sabotage,โ€ the enforcement team stated, assuring residents that monitoring continues day and night in all neighbourhoods. (Guardian)
