Lagos State is preparing to unveil a massive infrastructure ensemble that promises to rewrite the city’s transportation landscape beginning December 9. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration is set to commission 36 road projects and 5 bridges, turning the metropolitan orchestra into a smooth-flowing urban masterpiece.
Special Adviser on Infrastructure Engr. Olufemi Daramola revealed the ambitious lineup during a press briefing, hitting a powerful note about the government’s commitment despite global economic challenges and inflationary pressures.
“Like a resilient musician adapting to changing rhythms, we’ve prioritised delivering these critical infrastructure projects,” Daramola proclaimed, emphasising the administration’s unwavering dedication to improving residents’ living standards.
The project playlist includes headline acts like the rehabilitation of Babajide Sanwo-Olu Road in Agege, the construction of the Babafemi Dada road network in Alimosho, and the reconstruction of Old Ojo Road. Each project represents a carefully composed movement in Lagos’s urban symphony.
Backed by key ensemble members including Commissioner Gbenga Omotoso and Media Adviser Gboyega Akosile, the administration is preparing to debut these infrastructural tracks, transforming Lagos’s urban soundscape.
As the December 9th commissioning approaches, the city anticipates a crescendo of connectivity and progress, with these road and bridge projects promising to elevate Lagos’s infrastructure to a chart-topping performance.
