The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Taskforce has arrested 84 individuals during its ongoing enforcement and clean-up operation in the Agege area of the state.
This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, in a post on his official social media handle.
According to Gawat, the operation, which took place on Friday, June 20, 2025, targeted several notorious hotspots in Agege, including the Railway corridor at Ojurin, Isale Oja, Oke Koto, AP junction, and other adjoining streets, where Taskforce officials encountered suspected miscreants and environmental offenders.
A statement issued after the operation read: “Lagos State Environmental Taskforce on Friday, June. 20 2025, embarked on its ongoing clean-up enforcement operation in the Agege area. (Punch)
