Lagos to establish more accident centres, emergency institute (Nation)
The Lagos State Government has commenced plans to establish two more Accident and Emergency Centres (Trauma) at Abule Egba and Lekki-Ajah axis of the state to improve response time to victims. This was disclosed by the Director General Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Alausa (LASEMA) Dr. Femi Oke-Osayintolu at the stakeholder meeting on Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) on Monday. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Uyo Zonal Office, has arrested three men in Uyo for impersonating the staff of the Commission. Woman kills live-in lover over money for their daughter’s birthday (Punch)
A woman, Stella Peter, has stabbed her live-in lover, Bala Haruna, to death over their daughter’s birthday party. The duo was said to have had an argument before the 23-year-old got a knife and stabbed Haruna to death. Saudi oil attacks: Drones and missiles launched from Iran – US (BBC)
The US has reportedly identified locations in Iran from which drones and cruise missiles were launched against major Saudi oil facilities on Saturday. Senior US officials told media outlets that the locations were in southern Iran, at the northern end of the Gulf. Saudi air defences did not stop the drones and missiles because they were pointed southwards, to prevent attacks from Yemen, they added. Read more

A vet has reportedly carried out a UK first by removing a tumour from a tiny Molly fish which weighs less than a gram. The little creature, which looks exactly like a Goldfish, was rushed into the surgery after its owners noticed a lump on its belly. Staff at Highscoft Rabbit, Small Mammal & Exotic Vets, Bristol, which normally operate on iguanas and snakes, immediately diagnosed a tumour and prepared the fish for surgery. Read more
