Lagos: Traders decry open defecation at Gatankowa Market (Guardian)

Some of the traders at Gatan Kowa Market in Lagos State had decried the rate high rate of open defecation around the market owing to lack of toilet facilities.

They told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that if the unhygienic situation is not arrested, it could lead to an outbreak of epidemic for traders and buyers patronising the market.

They appealed to the Lagos State Government (LASG) to provide public toilet facilities to curb such unhealthy acts in and around the market. Read more
