Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has tested positive for coronavirus.
The 29-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Bayern Munich earlier in the month, has exhibited โminor symptomsโ of the virus but is in โgood healthโ, the Premier League club have said.
Thiago missed Liverpoolโs 3-1 Premier League victory over Arsenal on Monday evening through injury.
Liverpool said in a statement: โThiago has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.
โThe club has, and will continue to follow, all protocols relating to COVID-19 and Thiago will remain in self-isolation for the required period of time. (Metro)
