Looters’ list: Court grants Secondus leave to summon Lai Mohammed, FG (Punch)

A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has granted the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, leave to issue a writ of summons on the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and the Federal Government.

The Rivers State Chief Judge, Justice A. I. Iyayi-Lamikanra, who presided over the case, also granted that the defendants be served by substituted means, all the originating processes together with accompanying processes in a national newspaper.

A statement signed by the media aide to Secondus, Mr. Ike Abonyi, in Abuja on Friday, said that the case, which was heard on Friday, was adjourned to Monday, April 23, 2018.

The PDP National Chairman had dragged the minister to court for defamation of character. Read more
