Inter star Romelu Lukaku has returned to Milan following his tough time of things at the World Cup in Qatar.
The 29-year-old Belgian striker came into the tournament carrying a hamstring injury and he didn’t start in any of their three group games. Lukaku played 45 minutes of their fateful 0-0 draw with Croatia and he did not have a good match, missing four big chances and watching on helplessly as Belgium suffered elimination from the tournament.
As reported by Sky Sports Italia, Lukaku landed in Milan today and will return to Inter’s squad training tomorrow, ready to start preparations for the second half of the season. The 29-year-old took a short training retreat to the Seychelles following Belgium’s World Cup exit.
Lukaku has hardly made a splash with the Nerazzurri after returning on an €8m loan move from Chelsea, missing 16 matches through injury. When he has featured, he’s scored two goals and provided one assist in five games. (FootballItalia)
