A 52-year-old man, Gabriel Olaniyan, has been accused of defiling a nine-year-old girl after seducing her with N10 biscuits on her way home from an Arabic school.
Olaniyan, who was arraigned before an Ibadan Magistrate’s Court in Iyaganku on Monday, said the act was a mistake on his part.
In a charge, number mi/37c/2018, the accused was arraigned on one count of having carnal knowledge of a minor.
The prosecutor, Mrs. Folake Ewe, told the court that Olaniyan, who was jobless, committed the crime on March 1, 2018 around 5pm at the Alapafon area of Ibadan. Read more
