A 56-year-old man, Wakilu Sarafa, has been brought before the Candide Johnson Magistrates’ Court, Ikorodu, for attempting to murder one Jamiu Balogun with cutlass and broken bottles.
The accused was alleged to have used the cutlass and the broken bottles on the victim, injuring him in the process.
Sarafa, a resident of Epe, Lagos State, was tried on five counts bordering on attempted murder.
The charges read in part, “That you, Wakilu Sarafa, and others still at large, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire among yourselves to commit felony to wit; attempted murder, grievous harm and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace. Read more
