Man charged over Nigel Farage milkshake attack while out campaigning (Metro)

A man has been charged after Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage was hit with a milkshake in Newcastle yesterday.

Paul Crowther, 32, has been charged with common assault and criminal damage, Northumbria Police said.

The pro-Brexit politician’s suit was left covered in the drink following the incident at around 1pm and he was quickly hurried away from the scene by security staff.

An empty Five Guys banana and salted caramel milkshake cup was left on the floor following the disturbance. Read more
