A man who drank himself to death at his boss’s party was nearly six times over the legal limit for driving.
Gordon Ash, 47, was put in the back of a van by his co-workers and driven home from the party.
But when they arrived at his flat above the off licence where he worked, Gordon could not be woken and died.
Due to ‘inconsistencies’ in the accounts of those with him, police initially arrested half a dozen people in connection with his death.
A coroner has now ruled he died from alcohol poisoning after going to the party. Read more
