Manchester United teenager Teden Mengi trained with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team on Monday after being promoted from the Under-23s.
The 18-year-old is yet to make his debut for the club but he was an unused substitute in United’s 2-1 defeat to Astana in the Europa League in 2019.
The defender captained the side’s U16s and was promoted into the club’s U23s at the age of 17, making his name as a no-nonsense centre-back.
Solskjaer has settled on a partnership of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof this term and Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe have provided back-up. (Metro)
