Maurizio Sarri has hailed Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s recent improvement but admits he still harbours major concerns over the England midfielder.
The 23-year-old featured prominently in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions team which reached the World Cup semi finals last summer, but he has struggled to win over Antonio Conte’s successor.
Loftus-Cheek has, however, featured more prominently in recent weeks and followed up Sunday’s vital winning goal against Cardiff with a stunning effort against Brighton in midweek.
Sarri has been impressed with the way the academy graduate has improved tactically but fears he isn’t currently capable of playing the full 90 minutes due to persistent back injuries. Read more
