You know one of those news stories your friends forward to you either because they want your opinion or because they just want you to laugh, well,
I’m not sure what I made of the story.
Unbelievable!
In the early hours of midnight, somewhere in South Africa, two naked women glued together landed unceremoniously in the yard of a 43-year-old widower named Alfred.
The two naked women, who were quickly identified as witches (don’t ask me whether they had ID cards). They were about to get the jungle justice treatment from a few other people who had also seen them. But Alfred the widower told his agitated neighbours not to worry that he would deal with them his own way.
He locked both women up in his house, tied them to the table and raped them for hours!
Why the hell did he do that?
His reason will amuse you and maybe even annoy you!
But let’s backtrack a bit.
First thing, who says the naked women stuck together in the middle of the night and nowhere near their home were witches?
What makes a woman a witch?
That they were both naked, I agree, calls for suspicion.
That they were both stuck together. I have no idea in what manner, since the story didn’t enlighten me, just that “there was no doubt we caught them performing witchcraft…”
This also causes more suspicion. What does it mean for women “to perform withcraft”? Had it been just one witch, I would have suggested that maybe it was a case of dementia. A woman who lost her memory and wandered around naked into another’s compound. But they were two and “stuck together” and said to have been caught “performing witchcraft”
I’m still scratching my head for a plausible reason.
Shocking is also that the community ganged up to burn them before Alfred stepped in to “rescue” them from certain death.
What happened next will make your eyes pop?
Alfred locked the women up, “We heard screams and moaning coming from the house and Alfred refusing to open the door…”
When the police came and forced open Alfred’s door after three hours of abuse, the report said, “…the floor was wet with a mixture of his manly fluid and their womanly fluids. He had tied them to the table. He was acting like an animal.”
Guess what Alfred’s excuse was?
That the women bewitched him!
Now, while I am kind of thankful the women weren’t burnt alive. However, Alfred’s “animal” behavior is terrifying, and his excuse is annoying.
There’s more to bewilder you or maybe bewitch you. Not only did Alfred rape the women for three hours, after they were all taken to the police station, they refused to press rape charges against him!
Were they scared the community would come after them, especially as they had been unveiled as “witches?”
Were they coerced into not pressing charges?
Did they truly believe Alfred would come rape them again, were they to be caught naked again?
This is befuddling.
It doesn’t look like they were in any way coerced because Alfred too didn’t press charges. He said a prophet had warned him that two women who were plotting against him remarrying. So when he caught the “witches,” he let out his sexual frustrations on them!
Alfred got away with rape in broad daylight!
While some are hailing him, i think he should be jailed and the women as well. What where they doing naked in the middle of the night in another person’s compound? It just disturbs the mind.
This world is mad and I am just tired of us Africans.
