Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has warned Liverpool that Mesut Ozil is in ‘unstoppable’ form ahead of the sides’ clash this weekend.
Ozil has had an impressive start to the season, scoring three goals and registering one assist in the Premier League, and the German produced one of his finest ever performances in an Arsenal shirt against Leicester.
A frustrating 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace followed the win over Leicester, though, and Ozil’s explosive reaction to being replaced in the 68th minute raised eyebrows at Selhurst Park.
However, Koscielny has been blown away by the ‘extraordinary qualities’ of Ozil, who has worn the captain’s armband in the Frenchman’s absence, and hopes the midfielder brings his A-game to the Emirates on Saturday.
‘Mesut’s deserved all the plaudits he got after his performance against the Foxes,’ the centre-back said.
