Mo Abudu to receive visionary leadership award at Nigerian-American business forum

Woodhall Capital has partnered with the Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) for a Breakfast Meeting focused on the topic, “How the Changing Banking Sector Landscape Can Support Nigeria’s Socioeconomic Reforms”.

The event, scheduled for October 8 at the Lagos Continental Hotel, will bring together key figures from both nations’ business communities.According to a statement by the Acting. Director General, Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Wofai Samuel, the meeting will feature Mr. Kenneth Opara, former president of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), as the guest speaker.

A distinguished panel of discussants, including Mrs. Margaret Olele of the American Business Council and Dr. Omolara Akanji, former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) director, will provide expert insights on the topic.A highlight of the event is the presentation of the Visionary Leadership Award to media mogul Mo Abudu, coinciding with her 60th birthday celebration.

Abudu, recognised for her significant contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment and media sectors, has been instrumental in fostering cultural exchange between Nigeria and the United States.

Mojisola Hunponu-Wusu, founder of Woodhall Capital, emphasised the importance of this collaboration in enhancing business relations between the two countries. “Mo Abudu’s work has not only elevated Nigeria’s creative landscape but also contributed to the country’s global presence,” Hunponu-Wusu stated.
