MTN Foundation empowers youths in Oyo State

In fulfilling its commitment to improving the quality of lives, MTN Foundation recently trained 500 youths on ICT and Business Skills in Oyo State.

The two-day intensive training from technology expertsย  was used to empower the 500 participantsโ€‹. They were seen beaming with excitement as they had become better equipped to succeed in Nigeriaโ€™s evolving business landscape.

The session which was held on Thursday, June ย 2 and Friday, June 29, 2018 at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, had dignitaries like the Special Adviser on ICT to the Executive Governor of Oyo, Mr. Niyi Ajao; Head of Digital Communications, Oyo State Government, Babajide Fadoju, Honourable Minister of Communications, Barr. Adebayo Shittu, present. The training was organised by MTN in collaboration with its ecosystem partners – KPMG, Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), IBM and Oracle.

โ€‹Senior government officials, industry leaders and other dignitaries present commended the MTN Foundation team for โ€‹the successful โ€‹completion of the inaugural edition of the MTNF ICT & Business Skills Training in Oyo Stateโ€‹. โ€‹

The Foundation further revealed its intention to continue to train young and aspiring entrepreneurs around Nigeria.

MTN Foundation, through its many ongoing and upcoming projects,โ€‹ has shown commitment to improving the quality of lives of Nigerian communities as evidenced by the impact onโ€‹ over 10 million Nigerians in 400 communities across the countryโ€‹ โ€‹through multiple projects such as โ€‹the highly successfulโ€‹ โ€˜What Can We Do Togetherโ€™ initiative.
