Coronavirus cases in Nigeria increased further on Sunday by 313.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the new figure on Twitter resulting in a total of 7,389 for the country. Out of the number, 2,263 have been discharged and 226 have died.
According to the NCDC, the cases were spread across 12 states and the FCT with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 148 cases. Next is the FCT which recorded 36 cases, 27 for Rivers, 19 in Edo, 13 for Kano, 12 Ogun and 11 Ebonyi. Others are eight for Nasarawa and Delta each, seven for Oyo, six in Plateau, five Kaduna, four Kwara, three each for Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa, two in Niger and on for Anambra.
