The Nigeria Food Summit (NFS) 2025, a landmark event set to redefine the nation’s food and agricultural landscape, is poised to elevate Nigeria’s culinary and agricultural sectors to global prominence.
Scheduled for March 21 at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, the summit will bring together farmers, chefs, food tech innovators, policymakers, investors and industry stakeholders to address critical challenges and unlock opportunities in the food value chain.
Convened by renowned culinary expert Gbolabo Adebakin, popularly known as Chef Gibbs, the second edition of the summit builds on the success of its inaugural edition in 2024.
With the theme, “Making Nigeria a Global Food Destination,” the event aims to celebrate Nigeria’s rich culinary heritage while leveraging modern agricultural technology to drive innovation, sustainability and economic growth.
“We have a unique and diverse food culture that deserves global recognition. Through the Nigeria Food Summit, we are creating a platform that connects every player in the food ecosystem—from farmers to culinary professionals—to drive innovation, sustainability, and economic expansion,” said Chef Gibbs during a virtual press conference held on March 14.
The Nigeria Food Summit 2025 promises to be a dynamic experience, featuring expert-led discussions on key industry topics such as food technology, business scalability, and supply chain improvements. Attendees will also enjoy live cooking demonstrations and masterclasses led by top Nigerian chefs, showcasing innovative techniques like molecular gastronomy to spotlight Nigerian cuisines on the global stage.
This year’s summit will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions led by industry experts, including Mr Sadiq Rabiu, Mr Kola Oyeneyin, Mr Abubakar Suleiman, Diary of a Kitchen Lover, and the Kitchen Muse. These thought leaders will share insights on food systems transformation, investment opportunities, and policy frameworks shaping the sector.
A dedicated exhibition zone will serve as a marketplace for food tech startups, agricultural suppliers, and culinary service providers. Additionally, a business clinic will offer free consultation services in finance, branding, HR, legal and tax advisory for food entrepreneurs.
One of the summit’s highlights, the Pitch-a-Ton competition, will provide emerging food business owners with the opportunity to secure grants, mentorship and investment to scale their ventures.
