A fresh 503 COVID-19 cases have been recorded for Nigeria, which now accounts for 29,879 confirmed cases.
According to a Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) update via tweet Tuesday, 669 people have lost their lives to the virus in the country even as 12,108 have been discharged after testing negative.
Of the new number, which NCDC said emanated from 19 states and FCT, Lagos recorded 153 cases, followed by Ondo-76, Edo-54, FCT-41, Enugu-37, Rivers-30 and Benue-24.
Others are: Osun-20, Kaduna-15, Kwara-13, Abia-9, Borno-8, Plateau-6, Taraba-5, Ogun-3, Kano-3, Kebbi-2, Nasarawa-2, Bayelsa-1 and Gombe-1
Meanwhile, on the continent, there are 494,380 confirmed infections and 238,287 recoveries, according to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.
