Nigeria records 675 new COVID-19 cases as total rises to 20, 919

Nigeria has confirmed 675 COVID-19 cases, rising to 20, 919 infections.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement Monday night via tweet on the same day seven deaths were recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths from the virus to 525.

So far, 7,109 cases have been discharged in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory

Worldwide, more than 9 million people have been confirmed to have the coronavirus. Nearly 4.5 million have recovered, while nearly 471,000 people have died, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
