Nigeria has had an increase of 276 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours with 249 deaths and 2,385 patients discharged from the isolation centres across the country having been deemed well enough to go home.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Tuesday night confirmed the 276 new cases bringing the total number in the country to 8,344.
A breakdown the NCDC made via tweet has it that yet again, Lagos State, the epicentre of the virus in the country, recorded 161 cases. The tally in Rivers State is 36, while Edo, Kaduna and Nasarawa states have 27, 19 and 10, respectively. Oyo has six cases, Kano four, Delta and Ebonyi three each, while Gombe recorded two. Ogun, Ondo, Borno, Abia and Bauchi complete the list with one infection apiece.
