Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases surpass 4,000 with 239 new infections

Over 4,000 people have now been confirmed with the COVID-19 coronavirus in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Saturday night confirmed 286 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number in the country to 4,151.

NCDC announced via Twitter that the states with the highest number of cases are Lagos,

Bauchi, Kano, Katsina and Borno with 97, 44, 29, 19 and 17, respectively.

Fourteen states and the FCT are responsible for the new infections, while 745 have recovered and have been discharged, there have been 128 deaths.
