Novak Djokovic is “bothered” that he is not respected like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, says Boris Becker.
Nadal and Federer have dominated tennis for well over a decade and have won 37 Grand Slam titles between them.
Any tournaments which the pair participate in they are instantly crowd favourites and are treated with great such great avail.
However, Djokovic does not get such treatment and he was even booed by the Wimbledon crowd during a couple of his early-round matches.
The Serbian managed to win over the All England Club faithful as he went on to record his 13th Grand Slam title last week. But the fact he is not held in the same esteem as Federer and Nadal irritates him, says Becker.
“Is he shown the same respect as the big two? Probably not,” Becker said. “We all love Roger and we all love Rafa, but it seems we ‘respect’ Djokovic.
