The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has debunked a viral video making the rounds on social media allegedly showing a train coach on fire, clarifying that the footage is outdated and misleading.
In a statement on Sunday, the NRC said the video, which has been widely shared on Facebook and other platforms, depicts an incident that occurred over three years ago along the WarriโItakpe rail corridor.
โThe attention of the Nigerian Railway Corporation has been drawn to a video currently circulating on social media, particularly Facebook, purporting to show one of our train coaches on fire,โ the statement read. (TheNation)
