The gunmen who abducted a lecturer at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Prof. Olayinka Adegbehingbe, were in military camouflage, the police have said.
Our correspondent gathered that the camouflage made many motorists and commuters who ran into their ambush to think that they were soldiers.
Adegbehingbe was returning to his place of work from Lagos on Sunday when he was abducted in an area between Asejire and Ikire town.
The gunmen were said to have laid in ambush for commuters at some bad portions of the road, where vehicles could not speed. Read more
