You probably already heard but just in case you haven’t, let’s let you in on the largest event Lagos saw in 2018 – Star One Lagos Fiesta.
The event kicked off on the 24th of December in Eko Atlantic, Victoria Island and occurred simultaneously in Badagry, Ikorodu, Epe and Ikeja.
There are about a hundred reasons why you shouldn’t have missed the eight daylong celebration but for the purpose of this post, we’d give you six highlights.

The ‘Aro meta’ Statue: Tapping into the traditional lifestyle of Lagos, the major attraction of the event, aside the beer of course was the 58ft Agba Meta/Aro Meta statue. Fans got the opportunity to take pictures at the Art Deco statue of the three Lagos white-cap chiefs alongside some of their favourite celebrities.

The Artistes: Indigenous rapper, Olamide, Burna Boy, Adekunle Gold, Styl Plus, Adewale Ayuba and a host of others brought their A game to the event as they electrified the crowd with their energetic performance.

The Venues: The music, arts and culture event held in five locations simultaneously from the 24th of December to the 1st of January. This meant that Lagosians had ample opportunities to attend.

The Cold Beer: To cap off the music and festivities, fans got to enjoy the premium beer brand, Star Lager.

The Fireworks: Can we talk about the fireworks display on New Year’s Eve? It was everything. It brought an immense shine to the event.

The Gifts: To put the icing on the cake, attendees got to go home with lots of exciting gifts from a brand new car, to cash prizes and lots of other exciting gifts courtesy of Star Lager Beer.
